It is a clear liquid ranging from colorless to pale yellow.

Indication

4000AXaIU Injection

Preventing venous thromboembolic diseases (preventing venous thrombosis), especially thrombosis related to orthopedic or general surgery.

6000AXaIU Injection

Treat deep vein thrombosis that has already formed, with or without pulmonary embolism, with mild clinical symptoms, excluding pulmonary embolism that requires surgical intervention or thrombolytic therapy.

Treat unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction, in combination with aspirin.

Used in extracorporeal circulation for hemodialysis to prevent thrombus formation.

Treatment of acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction, combined with thrombolytic agents or simultaneously with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Enoxaparin sodium cannot be used interchangeably with other low molecular weight heparins (unit conversion). The production process, molecular weight, specific anti Xa and anti IIa factor activities, units, doses, clinical efficacy, and safety of different low molecular weight heparin drugs vary, resulting in differences in pharmacokinetics and related biological activities (such as anticoagulant activity and interaction with platelets). Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to and follow the instructions for each medication.

Pharmacological action

Enoxaparin is a low molecular weight heparin that separates the antithrombotic and anticoagulant activities of standard heparin. Its main feature is that compared to anticoagulant factor IIa, i.e. antithrombin activity, its anti Xa activity is higher, with a ratio of 3.6 between these two activities. Enoxaparin does not significantly affect aPTT at preventive doses, but at therapeutic doses, it can prolong aPTT time by 1.5 to 2.2 times compared to the control time at peak activity.
