Indications
This product is mainly used for the following indications in patients with more severe conditions:
1. Candidiasis: for the treatment of oropharyngeal and esophageal Candida infections; disseminated Candidiasis, including peritonitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections; Candida vulvovaginitis. Can also be used for bone marrow transplant patients to receive cytotoxic drugs or radiation therapy, to prevent the occurrence of Candida infection.
2. Cryptococcosis: used in the treatment of new cryptococcosis other than meninges; treatment of cryptococcal meningitis, this product can be used as amphotericin B combined with flucytosine after the initial treatment of maintenance therapy drugs.
3. Coccidioidomycosis.
4. This product can also replace itraconazole for the treatment of bacteriosis and histoplasmosis.
Adverse reactions
1. Common gastrointestinal reactions, manifested as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or diarrhea.
2. Allergic reactions: may be manifested as skin rash, occasionally severe exfoliative dermatitis (often accompanied by hepatic impairment), exudative erythema multiforme.
3. Hepatotoxicity: mild transient elevation of serum aminotransferase may occur during treatment, and occasionally symptoms of hepatotoxicity may occur, especially in patients with serious underlying diseases (such as AIDS and cancer).
4. Dizziness and headache may be observed.
5. Abnormal renal function may occur in some patients, especially those with severe underlying disease (e.g., AIDS and cancer).
6. Occasionally, hematologic changes such as peripheral blood transient neutropenia and thrombocytopenia may occur, especially in patients with severe underlying diseases (e.g., AIDS and cancer).
