Mecobalamin Cisen

Mecobalamin Cisen

Mecobalamin is an organic compound with the chemical formula C63H91CoN13O14P. It is an endogenous vitamin B12 that exists in the blood and bone marrow and can cross the blood-brain barrier without undergoing biotransformation. It can be used to treat or prevent vitamin B12 deficiency and its complications. After taking it, mecobalamin can replace endogenous vitamin B12, increase vitamin B12 levels, and improve vitamin B12 deficiency.

Vitamin B12 is essential for hematopoiesis, neurometabolism, DNA and RNA production, carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. It helps improve the function of iron in the metabolic cycle and assists folate in choline synthesis.

Mecobalamin is an endogenous coenzyme B12. As a coenzyme of methionine synthase, it plays an important role in the methylation reaction of methionine synthesis from homocysteine.

Mecobalamin is easily transferred to the organelles of nerve cells, thereby promoting the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins. Mecobalamin is more likely to transfer into the organelles of nerve cells in rats than cyanocobalamin. In experiments on brain cells and spinal cord nerve cells in mice, it participates in the synthesis of thymidine from deoxyuridine, promoting the utilization of folate and the metabolism of nucleic acids. Moreover, methylcobalamin is more effective than cobalamin in promoting the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins in rats.

Promote the maturation and division of erythroblasts, improve anemia and blood count. Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to megaloblastic anemia. This drug promotes the synthesis of nucleic acids in the bone marrow and the maturation and division of erythroblasts, increasing the production of red blood cells. This medicine can quickly restore the decreased red blood cell count, hemoglobin, and hematocrit values in rats caused by B12 deficiency.
