Usage and dosage

Please use under the guidance of a physician.
1.When patients experience reduced or inability to eat due to certain reasons, they can generally receive intravenous injection of 25% glucose solution and supplement their body fluids. The amount of glucose used is calculated based on the required thermal energy.
2. Total parenteral nutrition therapy. Glucose is the most important energy source for this therapy. In non protein thermal energy, the ratio of glucose to fat supplying heat is 2:1. The specific dosage depends on clinical caloric needs. According to the need for fluid replacement, glucose can be prepared at different concentrations of 25% to 50%. Insulin can be added if necessary, with 1 unit of regular insulin added for every 5-10g of glucose. Due to the high irritant effect of normal application of hypertonic glucose solution on veins and the need for infusion of fat emulsion, large vein infusion is generally chosen.
3. Hypoglycemia, severe cases can be treated with intravenous injection of 20-40ml of 50% glucose injection.
4. For severe cases of hunger ketosis, intravenous infusion of 5% to 25% glucose injection with 100g of glucose per day can effectively control the condition.
5. For isotonic dehydration, administer 5% glucose injection intravenously.
