The main ingredient of this product is sodium bicarbonate.

This product is a colorless and clear liquid.

Sodium bicarbonate injection is indicated for the treatment of metabolic acidosis.
1.Oral administration is recommended for the treatment of mild to moderate metabolic acidosis. For severe metabolic acidosis, intravenous drip should be used, such as severe kidney disease, circulatory failure, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, extracorporeal circulation, and severe primary lactic acidosis, diabetes ketoacidosis.
2. Alkalinization of urine. Used for the prevention of uric acid induced kidney stones, reducing the nephrotoxicity of sulfonamide drugs, and preventing acute hemolysis to prevent hemoglobin deposition in renal tubules.
3. As an antacid, it is used to treat symptoms caused by excessive stomach acid.
4. Intravenous infusion has non-specific therapeutic effects on certain drug poisoning, such as barbiturates, salicylic acid drugs, and methanol poisoning. But this product should not be used for gastric lavage when swallowing strong acid poisoning, as it reacts with strong acid to produce a large amount of carbon dioxide, leading to acute gastric dilation or even gastric rupture.

1. Interference with diagnosis: It has a significant impact on the results of gastric acid secretion tests or blood and urine pH measurements.

2. Use with caution in the following situations:

(1) Oliguria or anuria can increase sodium load;

(2) Sodium retention with edema, such as cirrhosis, congestive heart failure, renal insufficiency, pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome;

(3) Primary hypertension may worsen due to increased sodium load.

3. Do not administer intravenous medication in the following situations:

(1) Metabolic or respiratory alkalosis;

(2) Metabolic alkalosis is highly likely to occur due to significant chlorine loss caused by vomiting or sustained gastrointestinal negative pressure suction;

(3) When hypocalcemia occurs, alkalosis caused by this product can exacerbate the symptoms of hypocalcemia.
